About the position

The Sr Specialist Member of Technical Staff position within the Mobility Core and Network Services (MCANS) team at AT&T focuses on the architecture, design, certification, and delivery of advanced Mobility Core network functions and Network Services applications. This entry-level role offers exposure to emerging technologies in mobility, virtualization, and cloud computing, while collaborating with client project teams to develop cutting-edge technology solutions for business and consumer customers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with client project teams in the development of Converged technology Business and Consumer Customer Premise based equipment and products.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of Mobility Core network functions.
• Assist in the delivery of Network Services applications, including IP multimedia systems and packet data.
• Engage in data manipulation and analysis using programming languages like Python or R.
• Participate in software development and delivery processes, including CI/CD practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
• Basic understanding of telecommunications, network architecture, and wireless communication protocols.
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts.
• Basic programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
• Exposure to data manipulation and analysis libraries like Pandas or NumPy.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of data visualization and statistics.
• Basic experience with Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to Unix shell, Ansible, and Python scripting.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic understanding of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Awareness of virtualization, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
• Awareness of machine learning frameworks and concepts.
• Basic understanding of mathematics relevant to AI/ML.
