About the position

At West, we are seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist who will play a crucial role in supporting our technical and skilled labor positions across multiple sites within the United States. This position is responsible for identifying and attracting top skilled labor talent to West. The selected individual will partner with client stakeholders to develop, communicate, and execute a recruiting plan that is unique to each specific requisition. The role involves strategic recruitment plan development, project management, and recruitment execution to ensure a seamless candidate and client recruitment experience. As a recruitment subject matter expert, the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will develop and implement comprehensive recruitment plans. This includes collaborating with clients and HR partners to gain a strong understanding of department culture, business strategy, and talent profiles to effectively meet the hiring needs of the business. The specialist will proactively utilize effective sourcing strategies, both passive and non-passive, to build a network of high-quality, diverse candidates for current and future openings. The role requires conducting in-depth screens to assess potential candidates for their level of interest, qualifications, and compensation requirements, as well as converting hard-to-find passive talent through a deep understanding of the business and employee value proposition. Innovative sourcing techniques will be employed to engage and convert both active and passive candidates. Additionally, the specialist will partner with compensation and hiring managers to define attractive and competitive job offers. Building relationships with other recruiters to share knowledge, HR trends, and experiences is essential for executing best practices across the enterprise. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will also be responsible for accurately tracking and reporting recruitment activity data to support staffing metrics and participating in special projects as assigned based on business needs. Adherence to all regulations, policies, work procedures, and safety rules is expected, along with regular, reliable, punctual, and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a recruitment subject matter expert through the development and implementation of comprehensive recruitment plans
  • Collaborate with clients and HR partners to develop a strong understanding of department culture, business strategy and talent profiles to deliver on the hiring needs of the business
  • Proactively and continuously utilize effective sourcing strategies (passive and non-passive) to build a network of high quality, diverse candidates for current and future openings
  • Conduct in-depth screens and assess potential candidates for level of interest, qualifications, compensation requirements and convert hard-to-find passive talent through understanding of the business and employee value proposition
  • Use innovative sourcing techniques to engage and convert both active and passive candidates
  • Partner with compensation and hiring managers to define attractive and competitive job offers
  • Establish and build relationships with other recruiters to share knowledge, HR trends and experiences to execute best practices enterprise wide
  • Accurately track and report recruitment activity data to support staffing metrics
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned based on business needs
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules
  • Exhibit regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR or related field
  • 5-8 years of experience in talent acquisition
  • Mix of agency and in-house experience strongly preferred
  • Experience developing fully comprehensive sourcing/recruitment plans
  • Ability to analyze job descriptions and candidate profiles to determine target profile needs and appropriate match
  • Excellent consultative skills and proven success developing strong, collaborative relationships across multiple departments and levels
  • Proven experience engaging high-potential prospects through targeted sourcing and cold calling
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, applicant tracking systems and social media channels
  • Demonstrated success leveraging social media platforms to build candidate pipelines
