About the position
The Senior Project Engineer position at Hershey, PA, involves leading the development, execution, and implementation of medium complexity projects within the Capital Programs group. Responsibilities
- Provide project installation support for capital projects.
- Assist Project Manager and Project Engineers in executing capital projects.
- Coordinate contractor activities for all phases of equipment installation, focusing on safety, GMP, and engineering design compliance.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety and GMP requirements by coordinating activities between contractors and plant operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement teams to develop problem-solving tools and techniques.
- Provide technical assistance to continuous improvement teams.
- Execute smaller scope and complexity capital projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics) with 3 years of experience or 6-8 years of equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety.
- Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing equipment and related operations, including processing equipment, packaging, systems controls, and mechanical/electrical.
