About the position

The Sr. Manager, Specialty Area Sales at Nestlé Health Science is responsible for leading and inspiring a sales team to strategically develop and grow the nutrition portfolio across various channels and customers. This role requires strong business acumen and leadership skills to make key decisions regarding customer engagement and team management, with a focus on driving profitable sales growth and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop specialty sales team to identify opportunities and execute strategies for profitable sales growth.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic Area Business Plan and oversee Individual Territory Plans for direct reports.
  • Deploy sales executives effectively against strategic customer accounts to maximize coverage and call frequency.
  • Evaluate potential opportunities and lead regional IDNs & Aggregate Groups not covered by the National Accounts team.
  • Collaborate with National Accounts, Market Access, Customer Development, and Medical Affairs to maintain business with customers.
  • Coach sales executives on business acumen and sales approach to meet customer needs.
  • Conduct periodic field visits to coach sales executives and develop competencies.
  • Adapt to changes within the marketplace and healthcare environment.
  • Provide strategic planning and support for effective execution in the deployment of Sales Executives.
  • Travel 60% or more.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related medical field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of successful professional sales experience, preferably in healthcare or consumer healthcare.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience with a track record of building and inspiring high-performance teams.
  • Demonstrated capability to plan and execute key corporate initiatives.
  • Solid financial and analytical skills.
  • Ability to orchestrate consistent corporate-level decision support.
