About the position
The Senior Specialty Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for overseeing and participating in the purchase, installation, and implementation of LAN/WAN systems, firewalls/IPS, and enterprise wireless networks. This role requires in-depth knowledge of various networking protocols and technologies, as well as the ability to lead problem-solving efforts and provide training to junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and participate in the purchase, installation, and implementation of LAN/WAN systems, firewalls/IPS, and enterprise wireless networks.
- Perform detailed problem analysis and troubleshooting, leading collaborative efforts to solve problems.
- Provide work leadership and training to junior network engineers.
- Manage technical network design and implementation projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in network design, operation support, and hands-on implementation.
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs/Spanning-Tree, VoIP, QoS, data center infrastructure, cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure), and security/encryption technologies.
- Willingness to obtain CCNP or CCDP certification; CCIE is a plus.
