Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Sr. SQL Database Administrator to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. This position involves a variety of responsibilities that are critical to the management and security of SQL Server databases in both production and non-production environments across multiple physical locations. The role requires a strong focus on security and performance optimization, as well as the ability to solve complex integration and technical problems in a dynamic enterprise environment. As a Senior Database Administrator, you will direct team members to ensure all requirements are delivered efficiently and productively across over 100 virtual and physical nodes, managing more than 200 instances and countless SQL Server databases. You will provide technical support for day-to-day SQL Server activities and chartered projects, including security remediation and disaster recovery. Your responsibilities will also include recommending and implementing database changes to improve performance and security, planning and coordinating security measures, and creating documentation for compliance findings and waiver requests. You will measure database performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and configure and monitor interfaces with other systems, ensuring the integrity and availability of the database systems. In addition to technical skills, this role requires excellent communication abilities to discuss highly technical subjects with various levels of internal and external leadership. You will work closely with other DBAs, Systems Administrators, Network Administrators, and application developers to resolve system issues, and you will be required to provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis. This position supports an IT operations environment and may require work on nights and weekends, as well as participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
