About the position

Our client is looking for an expert in SQL Server design and development to provide leadership in creating and maintaining databases and data structures. This role involves interfacing with developers and users to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deploy data storage and recovery solutions. The successful candidate will lead the design, installation, configuration, and upgrading of database management systems, implementing performance tuning, optimization strategies, and advanced security measures. You will design and oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans, troubleshoot complex database issues, and ensure databases are optimally maintained. Additionally, you'll support programming staff with best practices in query optimization, data storage, and SQL programming, while also providing technical leadership and training to other team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, installation, configuration, and upgrading of database management systems.
• Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies for SQL databases.
• Design and oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues and ensure optimal maintenance of databases.
• Support programming staff with best practices in query optimization and SQL programming.
• Provide technical leadership and training to team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of recent SQL database administration experience.
• Expert level skills with MS SQL Server databases.
• Expertise with server side development, including web services, WCF, and API.
• Experience with Salesforce/Financial Force integrations and development.
• Strong experience with SQL, C#, and JavaScript, and other object-oriented programming languages.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related field.

Benefits

• Competitive pay range of $50.00 - $65.00 per hour.
• Salary target of $100K - $120K upon conversion to full-time.
