About the position

The Sr SQL Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining TSQL code, focusing on database and query optimization. This role requires extensive experience in MS SQL and TSQL development, including the creation of stored procedures, views, triggers, and more. The developer will work independently to understand requirements and write ETL programs to source data from various systems and file formats, contributing to critical reporting needs within the technology group.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain TSQL code for MS SQL databases.
• Create and optimize stored procedures, views, triggers, and indexes.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and write complex queries.
• Handle large data sets and ensure efficient database design.
• Work independently to understand requirements from Business Analysts.
• Write ETL programs to source data from upstream databases and various file formats.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as an MS SQL/TSQL Developer.
• Experience with Autosys, BIDS/SSIS, TFS, Bit Bucket, and C#.
• Familiarity with object-oriented database design and development.
• Solid understanding of data architecture and efficient database design.
• Experience in database and query optimization.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ETL processing, preferably Autosys.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
