About the position

The Senior SQL Developer will be part of a specialized team focused on providing cyber analysis and development capabilities to meet the needs of the Navy and DoD for Cyber Situational Awareness, Command and Control, and Mission Assurance. This role involves implementing new features in critical applications that support operational management functions, while working closely with software engineering and cybersecurity experts to address modern military cyber defense challenges.

Responsibilities

• Implement new features within a critical line of business application.
• Support mission assurance and operational management functions.
• Analyze operational requirements and conduct cyber analyses and assessments.
• Develop and perform modeling and simulation for various cyber threat scenarios.
• Develop methodology and framework for cyber risk assessment life cycle.
• Provide rapid design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and operation of software and hardware capabilities.

Requirements

• Active DoD TOP SECRET clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
• Ability to be onsite at least 4 days per week.
• Active CompTIA Security+ Certificate.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant degree (or equivalent experience).
• Proven years of experience as an SQL Developer or similar role.
• Well-versed in relational database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server.
• SQL Development with emphasis on Performance and Tuning.
• Minimum seven (7) years' experience in relational database design, administration, and server installation.
• Adept at troubleshooting database server issues including performance and connections.
• Critical thinker and team player with good time-management and problem-solving skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with DoD customers.
• Experience working on cybersecurity projects.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Experience with SQL Server Profiler.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and scripting.
