As a Sr. SQL Server Database Developer at Information Technology Strategies, INC., you will play a crucial role in supporting the Naval Health Research Center by managing and developing databases that are essential for various government initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include the creation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and migration of databases using Microsoft SQL Server. You will also engage in software development utilizing .NET languages, ensuring that the databases are optimized for performance and reliability. This position requires a strong understanding of database architecture and the ability to work collaboratively with other IT professionals to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients. In this role, you will be expected to leverage your extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server to handle complex database tasks, including the development of stored procedures, synonyms, and indexing strategies. You will also be responsible for performance tuning to ensure that the databases operate efficiently. Your expertise in .NET, C++, C#, F#, Visual Basic, and Python will be essential as you develop applications that interact with the databases and support the overall IT infrastructure of the agency. The position is based in San Diego, CA, and requires you to work on-site. You will be expected to adhere to an alternative work schedule, which consists of 9-hour workdays between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with alternate Fridays off. This role is critical to the success of our projects, and your contributions will directly impact the effectiveness of the services we provide to our government clients.
