About the position

The Sr. SQL/SNOWFLAKE Database Administrator (DBA) role involves providing technical leadership and operational support for Snowflake environments. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of database workloads, as well as managing user roles and permissions within the Snowflake platform.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and operational support for Snowflake environments.
  • Responsible for operations support for Snowflake: Warehouse, User, Database, Schema, and roles management.
  • Provide expert support to optimize Snowflake workloads.
  • Identify anomalies and report to management, including incorrect grants, violations of environment barriers, and incorrect warehouse sizes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator, specifically with SQL and Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of database management systems and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience in optimizing database workloads and performance tuning.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot database issues effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions.
  • Experience with data security and compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of data integration tools and ETL processes.
