About the position

The Senior Staff Camera & Video Editor is a project-based role focused on capturing high-quality video content for production needs. This position requires collaboration with designers, editors, producers, and clients to ensure that the multimedia content aligns with the company's vision and meets quality standards. The role involves both technical and creative responsibilities, including operating cameras, editing footage, and staying updated on industry trends.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other designers, editors, producers, and clients to comprehend the project goals and expectations
  • Work with the director to plan all aspects of shots
  • Provide realistic, creative input and guidance to scene preparation
  • Apply technical knowledge of filming and capturing footage with RED cameras
  • Utilize technical features of lenses, film, filters, light, and camera settings for each shot
  • Handle cameras, lighting, and audio equipment for field and studio productions
  • Ensure multimedia content adheres to quality standards and guidelines
  • Support clients with multimedia production, including setting up and maintaining video equipment
  • Collaborate with make-up artists, lighting, and sound staff to achieve the best final effect
  • Troubleshoot technical or practical problems
  • Stay informed on modern technology and industry trends
  • Edit footage as needed.

Requirements

  • An associate degree in film, media, or equivalent field experience
  • Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in film is preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in camera operation or a related role
  • Skillful in using various software and tools for production, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, REDCINE-X Pro
  • Excellent theoretical knowledge of RED camera operation, lighting, and audio capturing techniques
  • Creative and artistic skills with a good sense of aesthetics and details
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong technical skills for troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexible schedule to work nights and weekends if required
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
