About the position

The Sr. Staff Engineer for Web Digital Banking is responsible for providing Engineering, Operations & Controls support for system software, hardware, performance, and ITSM. This role involves managing communication and coordination with various stakeholders, including vendors and clients, while reporting to management. The engineer will contribute technical insights to management decisions regarding software and hardware, and will be expected to have a strong understanding of Risk & Control and Audit Support. The position requires expertise in frontend frameworks and backend microservices, with a focus on cloud-native solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide Engineering, Operations & Controls support for system software and hardware.
• Manage communication and coordination with vendors, technicians, and clients.
• Provide technical inputs to management decision-making regarding software and hardware.
• Define networking requirements and perform detailed analysis of projects and requests.
• Develop designs for medium to high complexity projects and formulate procedures.
• Monitor key performance indicators and implement advanced business solutions.
• Integrate systems or operate in a DevOps model as needed.
• Work closely with business units and application teams to identify and evaluate solution requirements.
• Investigate and propose strategic fits for virtualization and consolidation solutions.
• Evaluate and align strategic fit solutions across platforms and technologies.
• Provide client consulting and planning guidance for moderate to complex projects.
• Participate in architectural and design development consultations for project teams.
• Map requirements into standard services solutions and identify integration opportunities.
• Review and manage requirements for complex solutions, conducting feasibility and risk analysis.
• Develop and update architectural standards and guiding principles.
• Keep management informed of activity statuses through timely reporting.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of Risk & Control and Audit Support.
• Strong command over frontend frameworks such as ReactJS, TypeScript, Next.js, and Webpack.
• Experience in designing and developing backend microservices with Spring Boot in Java.
• Proficiency in AWS for crafting cloud-native solutions.
• Ability to perform detailed analysis of projects and requests.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in DevOps practices and methodologies.
• Familiarity with ITSM processes and tools.
