About the position
The Field Tech/Engineer at Lockheed Martin will provide full-time on-site engineering and technical support services, acting as the primary contact for the company at the site. This role involves daily operations and planning in collaboration with customers, subcontractors, and the Program Management Office, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution during facility testing and construction.
Responsibilities
- Provide full-time on-site field engineering and technical support services.
- Act as the main point of contact for Lockheed Martin at the site.
- Perform engineering and technical reviews.
- Conduct system assessments and equipment checks.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including support equipment.
- Lead an onsite team of engineers, developers, and technicians for testing readiness.
- Deliver daily and weekly briefings and reports to leadership and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience with hardware, software, and network test equipment for operational failure evaluation.
- Electronics troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with technical publications and documentation.
- Working knowledge of general-purpose test equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Previous Field Service Engineer (FSE) experience.
- Experience communicating with military leadership and senior leaders.
- Fault isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level.
- Technical report writing skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Software (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
