About the position

The Senior Staff Network Engineer at NBCUniversal will play a critical role in managing and deploying enterprise-level F5 BIG-IP Security and Load Balancer Platforms. This position requires extensive experience in network technologies, particularly in application load balancing, to support NBC's global operations. The successful candidate will work within a hybrid environment at one of NBC's core production facilities and will be part of a larger network engineering team responsible for ensuring optimal application performance and compliance with network infrastructure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage enterprise F5 BIG-IP Security and Load Balancer Platforms, including LTM, DNS, AFM & APM.
• Manage F5 BIG-IQ deployment and multi-cloud deployment with RE and On Prem CE.
• Develop and update technical documentation for 24/7 NetOps teams to support troubleshooting and triage efforts.
• Participate in a global SRE on-call rotation for Tier3/4 escalation support.
• Manage reporting and dashboards for network infrastructure to ensure lifecycle visibility and management.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit and Cyber teams to define and document compliance-related network infrastructure requirements.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in deployment and management of enterprise F5 BIG-IP platforms.
• Experience with F5 Distributed Cloud Multi-cloud deployment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment at NBC core production locations (Universal City, Denver, NYC, Miami).
• Expertise in Enterprise Application Delivery infrastructure and distributed application technologies.
• Experience with process automation and product lifecycle management.

Nice-to-haves

• F5 Certified Solution Expert or equivalent certification.
• CCNP Routing and Switch Certified or 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB Workflow and API automation.
• Strong vendor management and bug scrubbing experience.
