About the position

The Sr. Staff Product Manager for Search at Pinterest is responsible for developing and executing a cohesive Shopping strategy and roadmap. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including executives, product teams, engineering, and design, to create innovative shopping features that enhance user experience and drive engagement. The position emphasizes mentorship and capability building within the product management team, ensuring alignment across functions to deliver impactful results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a cohesive Shopping strategy and roadmap in close partnership with Executive, Product, Engineering, Design and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Build innovative new shopping features that tap into the unique user intent on Pinterest.
  • Create products that help users find inspiration, browse products and ultimately find the item they want to buy.
  • Partner closely with a wide range of disciplines including engineering, data science, design, research, marketing, legal, strategy, and other product managers to define, measure, and drive execution.
  • Mentor and build capability in your peer product managers within Shopping.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in product management or related experience at fast-growing companies.
  • Strong product sense and ability to collaborate and get buy in from stakeholders while setting a longer term vision.
  • Proven ability to lead in ambiguous environments, aligning across functions, teams, and orgs to deliver on time in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to define product strategy and drive decision making, making appropriate trade-offs based on data analysis and qualitative feedback from Pinners.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in advertising, social media, and/or ecommerce is a plus but not required.
