About the position

The Sr Staff Technical Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of Assembly MES systems, ensuring they meet customer, cybersecurity, and enterprise architectural requirements. This role involves maintaining operational stability, managing incident controls, and ensuring compliance with various security strategies while supporting the Assembly MES portfolio of products and related data processing platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for end-to-end lifecycle of manufacturing execution (MES) applications ecosystems supporting GE Aerospace production and development assembly.
  • Act as a subject matter expert of the technology stack and application blueprint.
  • Maintain operational stability, address tech debt, and minimize defects for legacy data products.
  • Partner with business, cyber, and technical teams to support compliance and security strategies such as CMMC, EVM, and DFARS.
  • Analyze and plan for the impact of outages, infrastructure changes, and business process changes.
  • Ensure successful delivery of product or environment changes supporting separation and compliance projects.
  • Interact with customers/stakeholders for requirements-gathering and product feedback.
  • Define, implement, and test application configuration to meet business needs.
  • Write/update test scripts, cut over plans, and deployment documentation.
  • Execute functional tests, system integration tests, and support user acceptance tests (UAT).
  • Interact with software vendors and internal developers to resolve defects or request enhancements.
  • Present operational status to leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Advocate for users and stakeholders in digital technology program plans and changes.
  • Go to Gemba to understand product, processes, and personas interacting with software products.
  • Prioritize backlog of work to support operational stability, cybersecurity, and business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, or an associate's degree with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience, or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Computer Science or STEM related fields.

Nice-to-haves

  • Customer focus and desire to engage with users and stakeholders on the assembly shop floor.
  • Ability to read and write complex SQL.
  • Experience in root cause investigation and corrective action implementation within a complex enterprise architecture.
  • Knowledge of technical topics such as tech stacks, caching, APIs, data transfer, scalability, and security.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with business and technical audiences.
  • Ability to balance long-term and short-term implications of decisions.
  • Knowledge of integration technologies and ability to write requirements/design specifications.
