About the position

The Sr. Staff Technical Product Manager at GE Aerospace is responsible for managing products within the Services Contract Financials category, including Clearview CMR and Customer Risk. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to create a strategic direction for product development, ensuring seamless integration and alignment across teams. The position requires a deep understanding of technology and product management, with a focus on delivering features and managing backlogs effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate superior product and industry knowledge to gain a competitive edge.
  • Interact with customers/stakeholders for requirements-gathering and product feedback.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and complex products.
  • Possess a deep understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product.
  • Collaborate with UX, Architecture, and engineering teams on multiple issues and decisions.
  • Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborate on personas.
  • Own the release and sprint backlogs, ensuring readiness for sprints/iterations.
  • Engage frequently with the development team to facilitate discussions and provide clarifications.
  • Translate unstructured work requests into actionable user stories and work units.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership to TPMs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, or an associate degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience, or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Technical Product Management or Information Technology (IT).
  • Military experience is equivalent to professional experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong knowledge of software design and coding principles.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with versatile implementation options.
  • Knowledge of technical topics such as caching, APIs, data transfer, scalability, and security.
  • Experience in supporting Financial systems, SOX compliance, Data Analytics/reporting.
