About the position

We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented Sr. Supply Chain Manager for the Home Improvement Group businesses, which include Tools, Home Improvement, Lawn & Garden, and Major Appliances. This role is critical in solving complex supply chain challenges and will involve developing inventory sourcing strategies, improving cost-to-serve, and owning end-to-end supply chain processes from manufacturer to consumer. The Sr. Strategic Supply Chain Manager will leverage data to assess problems in real time, act quickly to uncover potential areas of risk or opportunity, and influence others to invent and build scalable solutions. In this position, you will play a vital role in delivering an optimal customer experience by ensuring that the right product is available in the right places at the right time. You will work to continuously increase Amazon's efficiency by engaging with vendors to improve joint supply chain and operational metrics while driving automation and system enhancements with internal teams. Successful candidates will possess exceptional data extraction, management, and analytical capabilities, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. You will need to demonstrate strong business judgment, good instincts, and the ability to think forward to identify emerging issues. The role requires self-management of competing priorities and the ability to drive both strategic and tactical activities in parallel. You will lead and influence both internal and external teams in an ambiguous environment while maintaining a customer-centric philosophy. Key responsibilities include engaging with select vendors to improve operational supply chain performance, managing inputs that impact customer experience while reducing costs and waste, defining operational strategy, and contributing to business growth and operations planning processes for select vendors. Additionally, you will adopt and tailor supply chain best practices to meet category and vendor needs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Excel
  • Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
  • Experience working with complex data sets
  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques
  • Experience with SQL
