About the position

The Sr. Structural Engineer will play a pivotal role in the Raleigh office, focusing on structural engineering design and project management. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer looking to contribute to the growth of the firm while managing various design projects and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Take a lead role in helping to realize projected growth.
• Responsible for structural engineering design development and preparation of construction documents.
• Develop building structural systems, both gravity and lateral.
• Help to build and maintain positive relationships with new and established clients.
• Plan and estimate work and manpower requirements; control budget.
• Manage major and minor design projects from beginning to end.
• Preparation and checking of design drawings and/or specifications.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of progressively responsible structural design experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• Registered Professional/Structural Engineer.
• Experience in designing building structures with emphasis on concrete, steel, masonry, and wood.
• Experience with structural inspections/rehabilitation is preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
