About the position

The Sr. Structural Engineer will be responsible for the structural design of new structures and upgrades to existing ones, focusing on commercial and industrial facilities. This role involves conducting site investigations, performing structural engineering and drafting, and ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards. The engineer will work collaboratively with project teams and communicate effectively with clients to deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design structural systems and components for various commercial and industrial facilities.
• Conduct site investigations and collect data to inform design decisions.
• Perform structural engineering, drafting, and 3D modeling for projects.
• Ensure designs conform to recognized codes and standards as well as client requirements.
• Communicate effectively across disciplines and project teams.
• Visit project sites to observe construction progress and provide expert recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
• Knowledge of steel, concrete, and timber design, and familiarity with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.).
• Experience with engineering analysis software and techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; Structural Engineer (SE) license is a plus.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, RISA 3D, Word, and Excel.
