About the position

The Sr. Structural Engineer will be responsible for the structural design of new structures and upgrades to existing ones, focusing on commercial and industrial facilities. This role involves conducting site investigations, performing structural engineering and drafting, and ensuring compliance with industry codes and client requirements. The engineer will work on unique and challenging projects, collaborating with various teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design structural systems and components for commercial and industrial facilities.
• Conduct site investigations and collect data for structural assessments.
• Perform structural engineering, drafting, and 3D modeling.
• Ensure designs conform to recognized codes and standards, as well as client requirements.
• Communicate effectively with clients and project teams across disciplines.
• Visit project sites to observe construction progress and gather information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Structural Engineering.
• Knowledge of steel, concrete, and timber design, and familiarity with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
• Experience with engineering analysis software and techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• PE license preferred; SE license is a plus.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, RISA 3D, Word, and Excel.
