About the position

As a Sr. Structural Engineer at AMG, Inc., you will play a crucial role in addressing engineering challenges and guiding design efforts. This position requires advanced knowledge in structural engineering and the ability to lead and mentor junior engineers while managing significant projects in industrial facilities design.

Responsibilities

• Independently make important decisions regarding engineering problems and proposed methods.
• Utilize advanced structural engineering techniques, theories, and practices in project execution.
• Guide designers and junior engineers in their work.
• Conduct onsite work and perform project management functions, including scheduling and budget monitoring.
• Develop and edit project specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineering (PE) registration preferred but not required.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is a plus.
• Minimum of eight years of engineering design experience, with a maximum of fifteen years, including postgraduate education.
• Ability to become registered as a professional engineer through ABET accreditation or passing the FE exam.
• Experience focused on industrial facilities design rather than commercial and institutional projects.
• Familiarity with STAAD.Pro is highly desired.
