Sr. Supply Chain Manager, Last Mile Demand Planning [LMDP]

About the position

The Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) supply chain team is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and enhance the worldwide supply chain operations, particularly focusing on the last mile delivery of large items such as TVs and furniture. This role involves creating and executing strategies to improve customer experience while managing operational growth and efficiency. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop forecasting processes and innovative solutions that address customer needs and operational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Own key metrics and goals such as forecast accuracy.
• Create a plan that balances customer experience, speed, and cost.
• Own the end-to-end strategy using the forecast as guidance.
• Develop a deep understanding of transportation planning and optimization tools.
• Partner with product, technical, operations, and other network planning teams to build scalable solutions.
• Design program mechanisms to reduce bottlenecks, improve communication, identify risks, and gather feedback from stakeholders.
• Create hypotheses on ambiguous problem statements and gather data for analysis.
• Proactively build and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders.
• Analyze the impact of business changes on demand and continuously improve forecasting processes.
• Work with customers to understand and document their changing requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics, or related field.
• 3+ years of data analysis experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, charts, and complex formulas.
• Experience working with datasets greater than 1 million rows.
