About the position

The Senior Supply Chain Manager is a pivotal role within our beverage manufacturing client’s operations in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations, with the primary goal of maximizing process efficiency and productivity. The Senior Supply Chain Manager will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and distributors, ensuring that the supply chain operates smoothly and effectively. In this role, the Senior Supply Chain Manager will be tasked with developing and implementing supply chain strategies that align with the company's business objectives. This includes optimizing end-to-end supply chain processes, from procurement to delivery, and managing day-to-day operations such as inventory management, warehousing, and distribution. The position also involves overseeing logistics, including transportation, shipping, and receiving, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products. Vendor management is another key responsibility, where the Senior Supply Chain Manager will establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with all terms and conditions. Team leadership is essential, as this role requires leading, mentoring, and developing the supply chain team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Additionally, the Senior Supply Chain Manager will develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance and implement corrective actions to address any performance gaps. Cost management is also a critical aspect of this role, where the manager will identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain and manage the supply chain budget effectively. Finally, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, as well as identifying and mitigating supply chain risks, are vital components of this position.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior role.
  • Food and beverage manufacturing experience highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in supply chain management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
