About the position

The Sr. Supply Chain Specialist II is responsible for the execution and ongoing management of the Corporate Supply Chain and Procurement Strategy. This role involves managing procurement functions, vendor negotiations, supplier performance, and developing category management plans to drive value within the distribution system.

Responsibilities

• Manage all related procurement functions including vendor negotiations and contract management.
• Oversee supplier performance management and program management.
• Create category management plans for indirect categories and manage at least 5 spend categories.
• Conduct market research on goods and services to ensure best-in-class value.
• Utilize spend management data reports to identify and drive value within the distribution system.
• Identify spend management opportunities and create strategies to address them.
• Execute price audits to ensure contracted prices are invoiced correctly.
• Develop and implement best practices in sourcing supply chain partners.
• Manage vendor and item compliance reporting for service, quality, and pricing.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives that align with the organization's sustainability goals.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies that meet goals while maintaining standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in procurement function.
• Excellent negotiation skills and RFP management experience.
• Strong knowledge of industry operating costs, procurement methods, and pricing practices.
• Excellent working knowledge of industry-standard analytical tools and processes.
• Ability to plan and make decisions with a structured approach while demonstrating urgency.
• Superior customer focus with a strong understanding of the customer experience.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, flexible team player with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent presentation and influencing skills.
