About the position
This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities related to the hatching, pulling, vaccinating, and handling of Cobb eggs and chicks. The role emphasizes accuracy in customer egg packing shipments, ensuring quality and effectiveness of hatchery sanitation, and maintaining bio-security procedures. The supervisor will also interpret company policies to team members and support safety programs and training.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in hatching, pulling, vaccinating, and egg handling.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of customer egg packing shipments.
- Act as a certified embrex trainer and vaccine mixer.
- Insure quality and effectiveness of hatchery sanitation.
- Perform daily farm egg in/out flow and egg depot responsibilities.
- Ensure customer order accuracy and quality.
- Supervise bio-security procedures and maintain bio-security standards.
- Perform routine quality procedures and interpret company policies to team members.
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent experience with limited experience.
- Ability to supervise a small group of non-exempt team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of writing reports and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work independently and evaluate alternatives under non-standard circumstances.
