The Senior Systems Analyst position involves analyzing contract requirements to develop solutions utilizing various sensors and Navy-owned sensor system software. The role requires applying engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate solutions that meet customer requirements. This includes evaluating power requirements, assessing local power availability, and determining any necessary site preparations to support installations. The analysis and architecture development encompass hardware requirements, software applications, network administration, communications systems, cameras, and computer systems. Based on the analyses conducted, the Senior Systems Analyst will develop an overall system architecture that includes a list of applicable sensors and their installation locations. The requirement analysis and architecture development are specifically in support of Department of Defense ranges and multi-domain awareness in remote international locations, which may be subjected to extreme environmental conditions. The position also involves providing technical and engineering support services, working with various types of electronic and computer equipment, and directing or performing tasks such as on-site repairs of systems, planning and conducting tests and evaluations, and installing systems or system components. The role requires participation in setting up, installing, and initiating the operation of systems in the field, as well as servicing and training on these systems. The Senior Systems Analyst will develop work plans to ensure that all equipment is tested and operational before scheduled use and may design and develop special equipment or procedures for calibrations or tests. Responsibilities extend to the system as a whole, rather than focusing solely on software components. The position also requires applying technical experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, and resource management. Additionally, the Senior Systems Analyst will review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Duties may include the installation of various systems such as Automatic Identification System (AIS) receivers, radars, security cameras, and communication systems, which may require working on towers and buildings and using heavy equipment for site preparation. Due to the extensive knowledge of the systems and components, the Senior Systems Analyst may also take on training responsibilities.
