About the position

The Sr. Systems Development Engineer for ADC Analytics at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for designing, automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure. This role requires a strong background in Linux environments, programming skills in modern languages, and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems. The position is critical for developing innovative solutions that enhance AWS's cloud offerings, particularly for dedicated cloud customers. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative team environment and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
• Participate in deep-dive troubleshooting and conduct technical post-mortem discussions to identify root causes of complex issues.
• Develop tools and solutions using programming languages such as Java and Python.
• Build and deploy solutions across thousands of devices to improve and streamline processes.
• Collaborate with a team of Systems Engineers and Software Engineers to create user-friendly tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
• 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
• 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• 4+ years of experience deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.
