About the position

The Sr. Systems Engineer, User Experience (UX) at GE Healthcare is responsible for delivering high-quality design features that enhance user experience and workflow. The engineer will work collaboratively across functions to define and implement next-generation products, focusing on user needs and technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide domain expertise to integrate hardware and software functions for high-quality product delivery.
• Create workflows and early design concepts to define reusable platform capabilities and features.
• Collaborate across functions to design and implement next-generation products.
• Leverage qualitative research to understand user needs and design solutions.
• Identify risks and impacts of technical solutions on user experiences and create a UX plan.
• Work with customers and cross-functional teams to refine engineering requirements.
• Incorporate feedback into new hardware, software, and service specifications.
• Ensure product design meets safety and user needs, including regulatory compliance and risk assessment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of product development experience in engineering.
• Demonstrated experience designing modern user interfaces (UIs) and interactions.
• Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for design problems.
• Ability to leverage research and data to support design recommendations.
• Solid communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements before approving design outputs.
