About the position

The Sr Systems Engineer with Data Center Operations is responsible for managing and supporting VMware environments and Azure cloud infrastructure. This role requires expertise in various technologies and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining high-quality standards under pressure. The engineer will also be involved in problem-solving and designing new infrastructure architectures, ensuring the smooth operation of data center activities.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage VMware environments and Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code in Azure and on-premises environments.
• Prioritize workloads and manage tasks effectively under pressure.
• Implement and maintain networking infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and VPN.
• Work with enterprise-class storage and hardware protocols.
• Participate in formal patch management and change control systems.
• Adhere to ITIL framework for service management.
• Perform on-call duties as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting VMware environments and Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Expert level knowledge of Azure, VMware VCenter, ESX, NSX, SRM, VRM, VROPS, and Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server OS.
• Ability to prioritize workloads and manage tasks effectively.
• Strong understanding of networking infrastructure and protocols (TCP/IP, FCOE).
• Experience with enterprise-class storage and hardware protocols.
• Experience working within ITIL framework.
