Sr. Systems Engineer

About the position

The Sr. Systems Engineer will work with our team to provide support for a wide range of IT systems and services including the corporate virtualization environment. As the Sr. Systems Engineer you will be responsible for implementing and managing on-prem infrastructure. You will work in a fast-paced environment and apply your technical knowledge to solve issues that will span multiple IT environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage Active Directory environments, including user and group management, Group Policy Objects, and AD site replication.
• Utilize Ansible and Terraform to automate infrastructure deployment and configuration management.
• Administer and optimize VMware environments, including virtual machine provisioning, performance tuning, and resource allocation.
• Manage Teams' Systems Queue within ServiceNow. Troubleshoot and delegate tickets on a daily basis.
• Maintain Okta with knowledge of Workflows, RBAC roles and implementation and support of OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable and secure IT infrastructure solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Knowledge of DevOps, including CI/CD Pipelines and containerization.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Knowledge with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Strong expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file clustering.
• Proficiency in VMware administration and management.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
