About the position

The Senior Systems Engineer will play a critical role in overseeing and evaluating standards, requirements, and schedules for multiple client projects within a systems development team. This position blends systems administration and database administration, requiring strong expertise in RHEL and Oracle. The engineer will ensure seamless integration and coordination between projects while maintaining technical and programmatic baselines across ongoing client initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide system and database administration, technical support, and configuration management operations.
• Ensure Change Control Board (CCB) processes and conduct meetings to review changes with PMO.
• Coordinate and facilitate Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) with mission stakeholders.
• Assess technical and functional requirements and manage development schedules.
• Provide input and analysis on technical design and make recommendations for system implementations.
• Maintain DCBS architectural documents and support DoDAF and AWS DevSecOps pipeline.
• Lead DCBS developer and ISSM resources and support RMF, Security Assessment Plan, and development processes.
• Maintain existing DCBS software licenses.
• Support Agile development and delivery processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree or additional 4 years' experience in lieu of a BS Degree.
• 8 years' experience in Red Hat Linux 7.9, Unix shell scripts, Windows, Oracle 19c, Java, ColdFusion, PL/SQL, Jira, Agile Scrum.
• Strong experience with RHEL and Oracle.
• IAT Level II - Security+ CE certification.
• Active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or ability to obtain an Interim Secret or Interim Top Secret.

• Experience with AWS DevSecOps, DoDAF, Chef, Jenkins, Artifactory.
