About the position

The Sr Systems Engineer position at Mando Technologies involves supporting the on-site management and maintenance of enterprise-level IT infrastructure for the Wayne County Airport Authority. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient and secure operation of technology systems at both Detroit Metro and Willow Run airports, contributing to the overall strategic goals of the Technology Services department.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement IT projects to achieve Technology Services' strategic goals.
• Manage, maintain, and support enterprise system architecture, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Provide 24x7x365 support for enterprise hardware and software systems as required.
• Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Generate performance reports and metrics to support analysis and future planning.
• Establish and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
• Offer technical guidance and operational support to staff and contractors.
• Ensure daily on-site presence (Monday to Friday).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or a High School Diploma with at least 4 years of demonstrated experience in enterprise environments.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience managing, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Server Platforms, Microsoft Software Services, Microsoft Management Services, Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, Dell Infrastructure, and VMware Platforms.
• 3+ years of experience managing storage and backup systems, including Pure Storage arrays and backup/recovery services.
• 2+ years of experience designing and integrating server, storage, backup, and security solutions within enterprise environments.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 30 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

• Expertise with VMware vSAN.
• Experience with VEEAM Enterprise Backup and Wasabi Cloud.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with Azure Co-Pilot AI.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation.
