About the position

The Senior Tableau Report Developer/ETL Lead will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of reporting and ETL processes within the organization. This position involves participating in the software development life cycle (SDLC) for both existing .NET applications and the new SACWIS system, ensuring effective collaboration with the System Integrator. The candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining Tableau reports, developing SSRS reports, and managing SSIS ETL packages, while also focusing on data integration and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop Tableau Reports based on user requirements and deploy them to the report server or integrated SharePoint report server.
• Assist in the design and development of database architecture including relational data structures, data marts, and logical and physical data models.
• Develop strategies for data acquisition, quality, and discrepancy resolution.
• Assist in the migration and integration of data from legacy systems to new applications and technologies.
• Develop and maintain custom SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers using Microsoft T-SQL.
• Design, develop, and implement ETL/ELT solutions for data ingestion and cleansing.
• Implement data analytics best practices in designing data models and ETL pipelines.
• Coordinate with Business Analysts and users to validate requirements.
• Perform tests and validate data flows according to business requirements.
• Design and implement a data conversion strategy from legacy to new platforms.
• Optimize SSIS package execution and SQL execution for performance.
• Involvement in all stages of the data process including requirements gathering, data mapping, extraction, loading, testing, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of experience in relevant fields.
• More than 5 years of experience with Tableau.
• More than 5 years of experience writing complex SQL queries.
• Expertise with TSQL, SSRS, SSIS, or Talend for over 5 years.
• Experience in debugging and improving query performance.
• Experience deploying SSIS packages using git check-in and setting up environmental variables.
• Experience with Transact-SQL and stored procedures.
• Experience creating, deploying, and maintaining Talend reports.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional analysis skills.
