About the position

Join our team as a member of the Combat System Engineering Development Site (CSEDS) Tactical Support Group in Moorestown, NJ, where you will play a vital role in daily test operations focused on maintaining facilities and ensuring operational readiness of tactical equipment and systems. In this position, you will be responsible for installing, de-installing, and modifying hardware equipment as needed, as well as implementing Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE) field changes in tactical equipment. You will provide technical support for integrating tactical equipment configurations, collaborating with software support groups, test operations personnel, and engineering design support teams. Your role will also involve performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on tactical equipment, including Q70s, UYK-43s, UYQ-21 display equipment, and others. You will assist in the procurement, delivery, installation, and testing of new tactical equipment configurations and associated hardware. Maintaining detailed configuration documentation for equipment and cable configurations, firmware settings, equipment utilization metrics, and status updates will be crucial. You will utilize facility hotline processes to track and assign technical support for investigating and resolving tactical hardware issues and failures promptly. Additionally, you will record and analyze equipment issues, failures, and trends affecting operational efficiency, generating reports using Microsoft tools for various functional area groups.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Strong technical background with experience in hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE) processes preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional groups.
  • Excellent documentation skills to maintain detailed configuration records and reports.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft tools for reporting and analysis.
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts, including days, evenings, midnights, holidays, and weekends as required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two (2) to four (4) years' experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Aegis baseline configuration systems or in an engineering development environment.
  • Good oral and written communication skills and ability to express ideas effectively and concisely.
  • Excellent phone skills and customer service etiquette.
  • Navy & Aegis system experience with, and/or training in, UNIX/LINUX based operating systems, including essentials for system maintenance and/or system admin.
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing tactical military hardware.
  • Basic understanding of Agile methodology, Digital Transformation and Automation, and Cloud computing.
  • Current or recent US government security clearance at the SECRET level or above.
