About the position

The Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager position is a newly created role within a well-established agricultural/food organization located in North Central Iowa. This position is essential due to the company's recent growth and aims to enhance the talent acquisition process within the food manufacturing and agriculture sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in talent acquisition, specifically within these industries, and will play a crucial role in shaping the company's recruitment strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract top talent in the food manufacturing and agriculture sectors.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance on best practices for recruitment.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of hiring strategies and make data-driven decisions for improvement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies and industry networks to enhance talent sourcing efforts.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably within food manufacturing, agriculture, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive recruitment strategies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with employer branding and candidate experience initiatives.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
