The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a crucial role in the recruitment process, acting as a collaborative partner with hiring managers to understand their specific recruitment needs. This position requires a proactive approach to developing sourcing strategies that attract diverse and high-caliber candidates. The Specialist will be responsible for pre-screening candidates to assess their qualifications and ensuring an efficient recruitment process for both candidates and clients. The role demands excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. In this position, the Specialist will meet with various programs to gain a comprehensive understanding of their hiring needs and how these align with the broader organizational culture. This knowledge will enable the Specialist to work creatively with programs to develop effective recruitment plans and identify resources for outreach and staffing needs. A key responsibility will be to build a pipeline of talent, particularly for frequently filled positions, ensuring a steady flow of qualified candidates. The Specialist will conduct initial screenings of applicant pools, including phone screens or interviews, utilizing behavioral and competency-based interviewing techniques to assess applicants effectively. Additionally, the Specialist will collaborate with programs to ensure compliance with the organization's Diversity and Inclusion goals, collecting any necessary initial hiring paperwork from applicants before transitioning candidates to HR Compliance or HR Services. The role also involves assisting with the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and training users, as well as leveraging social media and job boards to recruit applicants. The Specialist will prepare job postings, work with hiring managers to determine pre-screening questions, and review resumes and credentials to ensure alignment with position requirements. Performance goals will be adhered to, with metrics used to review and adjust recruitment strategies as needed. The Specialist will also review and approve internal transactions for designated departments and programs, counsel employees on career development, and perform other related duties as requested by the supervisor.
