About the position

We are seeking a dedicated Sr Tax Accountant who will be responsible for signing off on returns for clients, providing quick resolutions to client inquiries or tax issues, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and contacts. The role involves pursuing new business development, performing basic bookkeeping duties, and handling tax filings for individuals, partnerships, S Corporations, and C Corporations. The ideal candidate will be expected to work extended hours during the busy season, ranging from 60+ hours per week as necessary. This position is crucial in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and delivering exceptional service to our clients, which is a core value of our firm. The Sr Tax Accountant will also collaborate with other team members to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction, contributing to the overall success of the firm.

Responsibilities

• Sign off on tax returns for clients.
• Provide quick resolutions to client inquiries or tax issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and contacts.
• Pursue new business development opportunities.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties.
• Handle tax filings for individuals, partnerships, S Corporations, and C Corporations.
• Work extended hours during the busy season, as necessary.

Requirements

• 5+ years of tax experience.
• Experience with individual tax returns (1040).
• Knowledge of GAAP, including P/L statements.
• Possession of EA, CTP, or CPA certification to sign off on returns/filing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including PIVOT TABLES and VLOOKUP.
