About the position

The Sr. Technical Account Manager (TAM) at AWS Enterprise Support plays a crucial role in helping National Security customers maximize their use of AWS services. This position is focused on providing strategic technical guidance and advocacy, ensuring customers' AWS environments are operationally healthy while driving their adoption of various AWS technologies. The TAM acts as the 'voice of the customer', facilitating discussions with senior leadership and addressing technical challenges to deliver the best value from AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic technical advisor to National Security customers.
  • Craft and execute strategies to drive customer adoption of AWS services.
  • Represent AWS within customer environments and engage with senior leadership on incidents and support.
  • Provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance for planning and building solutions using best practices.
  • Maintain operational health of customers' AWS environments through proactive management.
  • Understand customers' business needs and technical challenges to maximize AWS value.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical engineering experience in Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, AI/ML, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related discipline, or 5 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Experience as a technical lead in internal enterprise or external customer-facing roles.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • 7+ years of technical engineering experience in multiple domains such as Compute, Storage, Networking, or Security.
  • Experience in Information Technology operations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, especially in presenting to decision makers.
  • Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.
  • Familiarity with AWS services and other cloud offerings.
