About the position

The Senior Technical Account Manager plays a crucial role in connecting retail teams, clients, and engineering departments within the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of Advantage technology systems and serves as a trusted advisor to the business. The Senior Technical Account Manager is responsible for managing client relationships, providing technical expertise, and leading projects to enhance operational efficiency. This role demands exceptional communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with 3-5 supported teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries and strategic technology planning.
  • Act as an advisor and strategic partner to the business and clients.
  • Proactively engage with clients to understand their evolving needs and challenges.
  • Handle application and reporting requests for field management and client services.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
  • Participate in client and team meetings, representing the Technology team as required.
  • Develop technical user guides, training materials, and knowledge base content.
  • Deliver initial training sessions for supported teams on new applications or enhancements.
  • Explore opportunities to integrate other technologies or tools for retail customers.
  • Identify and present cross-selling opportunities to customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working for/with SEC registrant companies in a financial reporting or external audit capacity (Big 4 Preferred).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted practices and procedures in accounting and finance.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and GL accounting processes.
