As a Technical Editor Senior, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Technical Editor Senior joining our team to research, prepare, and edit technical and graphic documentation for a variety of systems and platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and conforms to client-specific style, tone, and document layout standards.
  • Review and edit material for punctuation, grammar, and content.
  • Identify and modify contextual errors, reorganize content, and edit graphics, tables, and illustrations.
  • Create standardized stylesheets and templates with uniform fonts, tables, figures/graphics to establish common programmatic deliverables.
  • Develop process, procedure, and work instruction documentation for projects while collaborating with project leads and management.
  • Develop the process for crafting and refining ideas, cultivating sources, and developing highly articulate deliverables.
  • Review existing processes and offer recommendations for process improvements, streamlined workflows, and simplified procedures.
  • Capture requirements for workflow automation and/or software development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain an in-depth understanding of products or services and documentation requirements.
  • Clearly define documentation project scope and monitor project schedule until completion and approval.
  • Create custom frameworks that define how business processes are designed, executed, monitored, and improved.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in English, Business Administration, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience.
  • Required Technical Skills: Adobe Suite and Adobe Illustrator, MS Suite, MS Visio.
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Extremely proficient writing and critical thinking skills, experience writing a variety of deliverable types for multiple audiences, experience with managing multiple tasks and prioritizing workload, minimal managerial oversight required, provide training and guidance to lesser experienced team members, demonstrate leadership and ownership of projects/tasks, excellent communication and customer interface experience.
