About the position

The Sr Technical ETL Data Analyst in Wealth Management Technology at Raymond James Financial plays a crucial role in developing data integration solutions for a critical data platform. This position involves extensive collaboration with various application development teams and shared services, focusing on delivering high-quality requirements and designs for data domains. The analyst will contribute to the company's goal of establishing a leading Wealth Management Platform, ensuring effective communication between technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed business requirements for functional and non-functional capabilities.
  • Gather and interpret information from multiple sources, including databases and interviews.
  • Resolve complex analytical challenges and make recommendations based on analysis.
  • Support application development teams by documenting business processes.
  • Build strong working relationships with teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Incorporate diverse business unit perspectives into project specifications.
  • Translate technical concepts to a business audience and vice versa.
  • Attend to detail while maintaining a big-picture orientation.
  • Solve complex problems and model the business and financial impact of proposed scenarios.
  • Participate in developing estimates, project schedules, and implementation plans for technical solutions.
  • Interpret and apply policies and recommend changes as necessary.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
  • Three years of relevant experience in data analysis, business analysis, or project management.
  • Financial services experience required, with a minimum of three years in the Wealth Management domain.
  • Intermediate SQL skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or Qlik.
  • Product Management experience.
  • Vendor management and project management skills.
