About the position

The Payroll Operations - Dayforce Senior Technical Lead is responsible for overseeing the system requirements related to payroll integration projects and managing existing interfaces. This role involves facilitating requirements gathering, designing and configuring the Dayforce solution, and providing technical support to HRIS users. The Senior Technical Lead will also manage permissions and security settings, identify system improvements, and contribute to payroll insights and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate requirements gathering, design, and configuration of the Dayforce solution.
  • Set and manage timeline expectations for projects.
  • Provide guidance to the Payroll team, identifying risks and communicating issues to the Payroll Tech Lead.
  • Oversee and maintain the optimal function of Dayforce, including configuration, development, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
  • Identify system improvements and enhancements; recommend and implement solutions.
  • Manage permissions, access, and security settings owned by the Payroll team.
  • Lead test phases, including test planning, creating test scenarios, executing testing, documenting defects, and reporting testing metrics.
  • Engage with multiple projects simultaneously and manage priorities effectively.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops and sessions to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
  • Work closely with third-party vendors to contribute to payroll insights and solutions.
  • Analyze and solve increasingly complex problems related to payroll operations.
  • Document new learnings or changes in processes and seek relevant approvals periodically.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years Dayforce Technical experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years payroll processing experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years state & local payroll tax experience.
