About the position

The Fulfillment Optimization (FO) team at Amazon is dedicated to developing and supporting technologies that enhance the optimal use of Amazon's transportation, operations, and delivery networks. This team is pivotal in ensuring that through strategic investments in new technologies, both internal and external customer experiences are consistently improved. The goal is to increase confidence and trust in Amazon as the premier choice for timely delivery of products. We are currently seeking a talented, scrappy, and driven Senior Product Manager to join our team. As a Senior Product Manager for FO, your primary responsibility will be to identify opportunities for technological improvements and to spearhead initiatives that leverage these opportunities. You will collaborate with research scientists, engineers, business stakeholders, and peers to design, develop, test, and deploy technology that supports our rapidly evolving and expanding network. This role is highly visible and critical within Amazon, with a significant impact on customer experience. In this position, you will monitor the impact of global supply chain and transportation performance on customer experience, applying sophisticated quantitative analysis to generate actionable insights. You will work closely with business intelligence teams to construct scalable data architectures and will be responsible for establishing and owning the vision for products while managing feature backlogs for various functional areas. Your ability to prioritize between competing initiatives will be crucial, as will your capacity to provide clear direction and relevant communication to data science, engineering, and senior leader stakeholders regarding business performance and project status.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor impact of global supply chain and transportation performance on customer experience
  • Develop and apply sophisticated quantitative analysis to produce actionable insights
  • Work closely with business intelligence teams to build scalable data architectures
  • Establish and own vision for products and manage feature backlogs for functional areas
  • Exercise judgment prioritizing between competing initiatives
  • Provide clear direction and relevant communication to data science, engineering, and senior leader stakeholders regarding business performance and project status

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
