About the position

The Sr. Technical Product Manager for Physical Infrastructure (Electrical) at AWS is responsible for creating and driving the development of data center electrical products and infrastructure technologies. This role involves engaging with customers to understand their electrical and power needs, developing product requirements, and managing the product lifecycle from conception to deployment. The position requires collaboration across various teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality infrastructure solutions that meet customer expectations and support Amazon's operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Engage with internal and external Amazon customers to capture critical electrical and power needs.
• Identify specific product requirements and create a product vision for data center electrical infrastructure.
• Coordinate between multiple teams to develop business cases and define product prioritization.
• Drive continuous advancements in data center electrical designs and communicate technical direction to management.
• Own the complete product lifecycle from conception through implementation and deployment.
• Develop product features and strategies to improve profitability and penetration in new applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of end-to-end product delivery experience with Medium Voltage Switchgear and/or Transformers.
• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in mission-critical facilities.
• 5+ years of Medium Voltage Switchgear and/or Transformer product development experience for data center customers.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.

Nice-to-haves

• 7+ years in product, program, and/or technical leadership for large scale strategic initiatives in the data center infrastructure domain.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and/or MBA or similar field.
• Experience writing business requirements documents for new products and product development proposals.
• Knowledge of power system protection and design, including protective relays and controls.
• Advanced understanding of ANSI, IEEE, and IEC electrical codes.
• Financial modeling and P&L development for products.
