About the position

The Sr Technical Product Manager for SCOT Forecasting at Amazon is responsible for optimizing the supply chain through effective forecasting of product demand. This role involves creating a long-term product vision, driving innovation, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance supply chain capabilities. The position focuses on transforming Amazon's supply chain by leveraging advanced technologies and data-driven strategies to improve product design, manufacturing, and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Define the 3-5 year vision for Forecasting products by working backwards from customer problems.
• Drive strategic communications including decision narratives and investment proposals.
• Communicate, earn trust, and influence stakeholders from multiple organizations.
• Identify opportunities by working backwards from customers in the supply chain and business units.
• Experiment and scale new products and models from prototype to production worldwide.
• Dive into technical solutions to understand areas of opportunity, defects, and customer needs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
• Experience with end to end product delivery.
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
• Experience managing technical products or online services.
• Experience representing and advocating for critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools.
• Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools.
