This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET), where we're developing the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space, with an emphasis on digital capabilities required to advance Blue Origin's mission. Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies. As a Technical Product Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the digital infrastructure that supports our mission. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and leadership, to drive the development of innovative products that empower our teams. Your strategic vision, leadership, and commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences will be essential to our success. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing the product vision, strategy and roadmap, from ideation through launch and scale. You will work at the intersection of technology, domain expertise and customer experience, transforming insights into impactful products that meet both business objectives and customer needs. As a key advocate for the customer, you will ensure that our products deliver value and drive adoption within Blue Origin.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with both customer needs and Blue Origin's mission.
  • Champion the customer's voice throughout the product lifecycle by engaging with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Own the product roadmap, making data-driven decisions to prioritize features and enhancements based on customer needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate closely with UX, engineering, and customer teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Proactively identify potential risks to product performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch, acting as a product evangelist.
  • Coordinate product and feature releases, including defining release criteria and ensuring readiness across all teams involved in the launch process.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on product progress, changes, and risks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating product processes, tools, and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 4-6 years of product management experience with a proven track record of managing products through their entire lifecycle.
  • Strong experience with Lean, Agile, and Scrum methodologies, and proficiency with tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience working closely with UX design and software engineering teams, with the ability to understand and discuss technical concepts.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to leverage data for decision-making and product prioritization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Experience with aerospace software development processes and frameworks.
