About the position

The Sr. Technical Product Marketing Manager at AWS is responsible for understanding customer cloud needs and synthesizing data from various sources to drive product outcomes. This role involves creating portfolio-level value propositions, guiding feature prioritization, and ensuring clear communication of AWS capabilities to customers. The position requires collaboration with engineering and product management teams to develop strategies and messaging that resonate with customers, ultimately enhancing their understanding of cloud technology's impact on their businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering and product management to develop portfolio-level strategy documents to guide prioritization of AWS offerings and capabilities we build
  • Creation of positioning and messaging artifacts that will represent our offerings at a portfolio level
  • Analysis and synthesis of 1st and 3rd party data to define opportunities for our offerings
  • Acting as an advocate for customers within AWS during the product development process
  • Involvement in the generation of content artifacts that can be leveraged broadly to educate customers on our offerings
  • Working closely with other AWS teams to ensure these value propositions are articulated broadly and clearly

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience working directly with customers on adoption of cloud-based products and services
  • 7+ years working knowledge cloud-based architectures in one or more technical domains (e.g. Analytics, Developer Tools, Compute, Databases, Generative AI, Observability, Security)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent experience

Nice-to-haves

  • High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations, and with executives
  • Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS or other cloud platforms; Hands-on experience with AWS
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification
  • Prior Technical Product Marketing experience
  • MBA degree
