About the position

The Sr. Technical Product Marketing Manager for AWS Product Marketing is responsible for understanding customer cloud needs and synthesizing data from various sources to drive product outcomes. This role involves creating portfolio-level value propositions, collaborating with engineering and product management, and ensuring clear communication of AWS offerings to customers. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and marketing acumen to effectively advocate for customer needs and articulate the value of AWS services.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering and product management to develop portfolio-level strategy documents to guide prioritization of AWS offerings and capabilities.
  • Create positioning and messaging artifacts that represent AWS offerings at a portfolio level.
  • Analyze and synthesize 1st and 3rd party data to define opportunities for AWS offerings.
  • Act as an advocate for customers within AWS during the product development process.
  • Generate content artifacts (presentations, demos, etc.) to educate customers on AWS offerings.
  • Work closely with other AWS teams to ensure value propositions are articulated clearly across various channels.

Requirements

  • Experience working directly with customers to understand their needs in cloud technology.
  • Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources, including industry analysis and customer feedback.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with engineering teams and product managers.
  • Deep understanding of cloud technology and AWS services.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in creating marketing strategies for technology products.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as Analytics, Developer Tools, and Security.
  • Previous experience in a technical marketing role.
